The author, a captain and ordnance officer in the First Ohio, took command of an endangered supply train at the rear, helping save the day for the Army of the Cumberland; by the end of the war Thruston commanded a brigade. Not in Dornbusch or Nevins. Old institutional stamps, but a good solid copy. Printed gray wrappers corners of several leaves chipped, spine reinforced .
