Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him, dated December 26, 1864, to a gentleman as secretary of the Académie Impériale des Sciences, Belles lettres Arts de Savoie, as follows: “…J’ai l’honneur de vous annoncer que l’académie Impériale de Savoie vous a reçu au nombre des membres correspondants…”. Size is 8.3 x 10.5 inches, central fold, creases, letterhead, in overall very good condition.
