Fascinating set of vintage items associated with the s tar French stage actress (1844-1923) who starred in some of the most popular French plays of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. These historically unique items include one 4.25 x 6.5 inch vintage cabinet photograph of her, shown in role, a photo by W D. Downey photographers, Newcastle on Tyne, along with a payment receipt from the London County Banking Company, dated in 1894, a 1881 unsigned playbill from the Carltheater in Vienna (7.25 x 9.25 inches on solid cardboard), an 5.75 x 8.5 inch autograph letter signed from her son Maurice, dated in Paris in 1935 (written in French and sold untranslated) on the stationary of the Theatre Sarah Bernhardt (some holes in the paper but not affecting text and signature), and an unsigned 3.5 x 5.5 inch postcard half-tone photograph by Reutlinger, Paris, shown as herself. In mostly very good condition, not sold separately.
