American politician and diplomat (1900-1965), served as the 31st Governor of Illinois from 1949 to 1953, was the Democratic nominee for President of the United States in 1952 and 1956 and later served as the United States Ambassador to the United Nations from 1961 until his death in 1965. Typed note signed on his 1952 presidential campaign stationary with handwritten signature. Also included: the original letter to which he responded (see scans). Size of typed note is 6 x 9.5 inches, several folds, in excellent condition.
