French composer and music critic (1803-1856), and prolific creator of ballets and operas, Adam is best known for his ballets Giselle (1841) and Le Corsaire (1856). Nice vintage carte-de-visite (CDV) of the composer by photographer Pierre Petit (Paris). Size is 2.25 x 3.8 inches, in excellent condition.
