Hungarian conductor (1850-1898), who assisted Wagner with Der Ring des Nibelungen and the first Bayreuth Festival in 1876; later in his life conducted at the Met Opera and the New York Philharmonic between 1891 and 1898. Beautiful cabinet photograph of the conductor, signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment, dated in Brighton Beach (Brooklyn, New York) in 1894. Photograph by Wilhelm, New York. Size is 4.25 x 5.5 inches , mounting traces on verso, in overall good condition.
