Star Italian tenor (1850-1905), chosen by Verdi for the title role in the world premiere of Otello in 1887. Beautiful original cabinet photograph of him by Lorens (San Petersburg) shown as Arnoldo in Rossini's "Guglielmo Tell". Size is 4.2 x 6.3 inches, some rust on the front and minor damage on verso, otherwise in very good condition.
