The composer faces left and is dressed in typical jacket, ruffled shirt, and cravat, his hair gathered with a ribbon at his collar. Cream patina. 2-5/8 x 1-3/8 inches 68 x 34 mm ; frame 7-7/8 x 6-5/8 inches 201 x 170 mm . Laid down to a black velvet backing and framed. In very good condition. A finely-executed likeness, possibly influenced by the Leonhard Posch wax profile of 1788 and the subsequent engravings based on that work.
