Providence: Charles Burnett, Jr., 1848. First edition, small 8vo, pp. iv, 3 , 8-63, 1 ; original tan printed wrappers; back wrap loosening, but otherwise very good and sound. Aquidneck is the largest island in Narragansett Bay on which Portsmouth, Middletown, and Newport at the south end. The Redwood Library was founded in 1747 as a private subscription library and still occupies its original building, now a National Landmark, designed in the Palladian style
