Italian mezzo-soprano (1837-1879) and creator of the role of Amneris at the Cairo world premiere of Verdi's opera "Aida". Beautiful mini cabinet photograph of the artist by Estudio Fotografia Española (Barcelona). Size is 2.5 x 3.7 inches, trimmed over the upper and lower border, ink markings on verso indicate the year 1863, otherwise in very good condition. Photographs of Eleonora Grossi are exceedingly rare.
