Mercersburg, PA: 1923. 4to. One-page, in full: My dear Mr. Newell, That was a great story of yours. I enjoyed every word of it because all my deer-hunting has been done in Carolina, in the type of country you describe. You wrote: 'A change in Missy's bark told me that she had found the dead underlined deer.' Will a hound ever bay a dead underlined deer? I'm sure that Missy came up with the wounded buck, and that he beat her off. When she changed her bark, she had brought him to a stand.
