The composer is depicted full-length standing next to a large column on a veranda, holding a rolled manuscript of the Messiah in his right hand. He wears a long cape, embroidered coat, ruffled shirt, britches, and hose.Image size 400 x 275 mm; sheet size 522 x 372 mm. Printed by J. Hesse on wove paper on an off-white ground. Slightly worn and soiled; some foxing; several marginal repairs and small edge tears with minor loss.
