Journey Tales. A Collection of Women's Stories. Limited edition, number 6 of 30 copies signed by the artist. These poems and etchings are Kresge's reactions to the mask-performances of the sculptor and storyteller Suzanne Benton. The stories are drawn from the verbal traditions of world cultures such as those of Korea ("Nongae"), Japan ("Amaterasu"), Greece ("Demeter"), and India ("When I Was a Small Child").Founded in 1974, the Women's Studio Workshop was formed as an alternative space for female artists to develop their skills. They have a particular specialism in book arts and papermaking.
