The Lady is a Tramp. First edition, inscribed by the photographer on the front free endpaper, "To Peter, love, DB, 98." This is Bailey's photographic tribute to his wife, Catherine. The book is divided into five sections, "Nudes", "Fashion", "Pregnancy", "Children", and "Beauty". Each section has an accompanying essay by Fay Weldon.In her preface, Weldon writes, "Here we have a collection of photographs to admire, and to make the reader uneasy. One woman in so many guises. Is it possible? Is it seemly? Is this what makes men love women - the plurality of selves within the one female body?"
