Rare, just three institutional locations traced world-wide - BL, Haverford College, and Koninklikje Bibliothek. This copy from the library of Rolling Stones' drummer Charlie Watts, a lifelong cricket fan, and with the pasted on address label of Sussex cricket historian and bibliographer Alfred J. Gaston to the contents leaf.In his article "Cricket Books and their Prices" published in The Cricket Field, 1894, Gaston said of the book, "This is a splendid compilation, and is most valuable, not only to a cricket scribe, but to every enthusiast. The book of late has been very difficult to obtain". Some pencilled corrections in his hand to the introductory alphabetical listing of Surrey players.No markings of Charlie's ownership, but sold at the sale of the effects of Charlie and Shirley Watts from Halsdon House, Devon in May 2026
