Prohibition at its Worst. First edition, first printing, presentation copy, inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper, "To Mr. John J. Zoller, yours for Prohibition, Irving Fisher. October, 1926". The prominent economist Irving Fisher was a fierce supporter of prohibition, writing over a hundred publications on the subject. This is among his clearest exposition of his ideas, setting out a defence of Prohibition on hygienic, social, and especially economic grounds, for which he provides much data.
