Although not marked as such, this copy belonged to Massachusetts stockbroker Paul Sullivan, a close friend and patron of Heaney who hosted the poet for dinner twice a week while he was lecturing at Harvard in the 1980s and '90s. This copy was acquired directly from Paul Sullivan's estate.After Summer was hand-bound in Dublin and contains two poems, "Elegy" and "Leavings".
