Prisoner of War 31,163 Bedros M. Sharian. First edition, inscribed by Sharian on the front free endpaper and signed on the half-title: "Bedros M. Sharian, 320 Drexel Ave., Decatur, Ga., May - 1942". Sharian (1892-1994) fought in the First World War, first for the Ottoman Empire and later for the Egyptian Expeditionary Force. He experienced the Gallipoli Campaign, the capture of Jerusalem, and the Turkish War of Independence.After the war he emigrated to America and opened a rug store in Decatur, Georgia.
