This small collection of Livingstone biographies contains two works focusing on his life and travels and another providing an insight into his character through a series of anecdotes from Livingstone's in-laws, all published shortly after his death. Livingstone Anecdotes includes descriptions of his humour and his "courage and coolness in personal peril" (p. 94), while The Story of his Life and Travels contains a map of his journey though Africa.
