Oblong quarto, chromolithographed wrappers (chipped with a large section of loss, the front and rear wrappers expertly conserved by a paper conservator with infill of buff, neutral paper, tears sealed with Japanese tissue), cloth spine, ribbon tie replaced, pp. [42], printed with chromolithography, a stunning album. Includes portraits of all the Melbourne Cup winners, and lists their owners, trainers and jockeys. Includes advertisements for wine merchants, Scotch whisky merchants, and early Australian motor car, Dunlop Tyers, beer and ale brewers, saddle makers etc, Very rare. Not in Ferguson.
