Cecil Beaton's Diaries: 1955-63 The Restless Years. First edition, inscribed by Cecil Beaton on the front endpaper, "To Margaret with Best Wishes from Cecil Beaton". The penultimate of Beaton's six published diaries, The Restless Years chronicles Beaton's globetrotting 8 years between 1955 and 1963, as he flits from one exotic destination to another, in between designing for Gigi and My Fair Lady, the latter of which earned him the Academy Award for Best Costume Design. Loosely inserted is one sheet of blank notepaper, headed with Beaton's address, Reddish House, Broadchalke, Salisbury, where he lived from 1947 until his death in 1980.
