WATTS, Alan.

Does it Matter? First edition of this collection of essays on mankind's relationship with the natural environment, the third of which, "Clothes-On and Off", is published here for the first time. This copy belonged to Dr Robert C. Macy, the Southern Californian osteopath who was a long-time friend of Watts and other writers like Henry Miller. It includes a loosely inserted 1968 typed postcard to Macy from Watts and his third wife Jano, and a typed invitation to Watts's 1974 memorial service, with the envelope addressed to Macy.
