English soprano (1906-1952), who married a German man, emigrated to Germany and became a British spy during World War II. She met Hitler and eventually was arrested and tortured by the Gestapo for being a spy, ended up imprisoned in a British war camp, where she sang for prisoners. Signed postcard photograph, shown as herself, inscribed and dated in 1932. Photo by Becker and Maass photographers, Berlin. Size is 3.5 x 5.5 inches, in excellent condition.
