American baritone (1917-2004), famous for his performances at the Metropolitan Opera, recordings, and many broadcasts, and succeeded Leonard Warren as the leading American baritone after his death in 1960. Signed photograph, shown in an unknown role. Photo has the printed signature of photographer James Abresch, New York. Size is 7.5 x 10 inches, small crease on top right and mounting traces on verso, otherwise in excellent condition.
