In 1954 (Showa 29), Ihei Kimura, who was able to cover Europe for the first time, went to France with a Leica camera and a newly developed domestic color film. There, I met photographers Henri Cartier-Bresson and Robert Doisneau, and I was able to watch the live streets of Paris and the drama of the common people in the downtown area. Includes 117 Paris works that are expressed in unique colors among Kimura's works. The charm of Paris in the past is revived. Product Description Contents (from "BOOK" database) Paris in the 1950s. Biography of the author (from "BOOK author introduction information") Kimura / Ihei Born in 1901 (Meiji 34) at the house of a string craftsman in Shitaya, Tokyo. He has been interested in photography since he was a child, and although he went on to Keika Commercial High School, he was enthusiastic about photography while going in and out of banquet halls and geisha stores. After graduating, got a job at the Taiwan branch of a sugar wholesaler. There, too, he goes in and out of a photo studio near his workplace and learns the technique of business photography. In 1922, he returned to Tokyo and joined an amateur photography club, opening a photo studio
