A Burnt-Out Case. First edition in English of Greene's novel concerning a leper colony on the Congo River. In common with other Greene titles of this period, the Swedish, Norwegian, and French translations of this novel were all published prior to the English edition, all in 1960; the Swedish version, Ütbrand, is accepted as the true first edition. The UK edition was published in January 1961; the first US edition followed in February 1961.
