English composer (1842-1900), best known for 14 operatic collaborations with the dramatist W.S. Gilbert, including The Mikado. Nice invitation card for a rehearsal at the Leeds Musical Festival, signed by him and someone else at the bottom, dated October 1889. Card is blind-stamped by the Festival at the upper-center. S ize is 4.5 x 3 inches, in very good condition. ALSO INCLUDED is a clip from a Magazine showing a caricature of the composer. A rare and interesting souvenir item of an important composer!
