Beautiful photograph of the star Italian tenor shown as Canio in Leoncavallo's Pagliacci, mounted on cardboard, signed and inscribed in Italian by him to Giuseppina Uterhart with the text "to the polite Giuseppina Uterhart with sincere and deep friendship", dated in New York, 1913. An original photograph by Hermann Mishkin, Met Opera, New York, which is one of the most famous photographs of the tenor. Size is 5.9 x 7.9 inches, minor damage on edges, mounting traces on verso, in overall very good condition.
