Australian-born composer, arranger, and pianist who lived in the USA from 1914, playing a prominent role in the revival of interest in British folk music. Beautiful black and white photograph shown young, signed by him, inscribed to pianist Harold Flammer with the text "in happy memory of pleasant (though sometimes furious) cooperation", with a 4-bar music quote from an unknown march. Original photograph by Aimé Dupont, New York, blind-stamped. Total size is 9.5 x 12.75 inches, small loss of paper over the lower-right corner, crack over the lower-left corner, otherwise in excellent condition.
