With very best wishes from Ernest Betts. 3rd May 1921."Betts (1896-1975) served in the Mesopotamian Campaign with the Worcestershire Regiment. The title was published as part of John Lane's On Active Service series, which aimed to provide lively eyewitness accounts of the First World War. He later became a film critic.
