Limited edition
BÜSCHER, Wolfgang; KUNDE, Harald TINTEROW, Gary. Neo Rauch. Cologne: Taschen, 2012. Folio. Full printed cloth. Housed in red cloth solander case. 476 pp. Over 250 large-scale colour reproductions of Rauch's paintings throughout. Essays by Wolfgang Büscher, Harald Kunde, and Gary Tinterow. Art Edition. This copy numbered "0000" and stamped "Not for Sale" — a publisher's display or specimen copy, produced outside the regular numbered sequence of the signed edition of 1,000. Unsigned. Published by Taschen in 2012 to coincide with Rauch's Fiftieth birthday, and the retrospective exhibitions being hosted to celebrate it. Contains over 250 large-scale reproductions of Rauch's works. The standard Art Edition of this title was issued as a signed edition of 1,000 copies, hardcover in a clamshell box. This copy stands outside that numbered sequence: stamped "0000" and "Not for Sale," it is a publisher's specimen or display copy, produced by Taschen for promotional or reference purposes prior to or alongside the release of the numbered edition. It is unsigned. Copies of this kind are inherently scarce though the absence of the artist's signature distinguishes them clearly from the collectible status of the numbered, signed run. Very good. Some wear at spine ends and cover corners. Some mild foxing internally at front and rear; otherwise generally clean throughout. Binding tight and sound. Cover gilt bright and bold. Please note: This is a large and heavy volume. Additional postage costs
