Dedicated to Wallis Simpson, the memoir offers a highly personal account of Edward's life and the abdication crisis.A King's Story proved "a well-timed volume, and financially very successful" (ODNB). It later formed the basis of a 1965 documentary narrated by Orson Welles. The limited edition was printed on handmade paper, with binding shared between Sangorski & Sutcliffe, Zaehnsdorf, and John P. Gray.
