Forwarding a regimental return of “deceased soldiers” 4to. One-page, approximately 25 words. Brown 1842-1889 served as an officer in the Civil War with the 11 th Ohio, serving through the western theater to Atlanta, the March to the Sea, and the Carolinas, to surrender, mustering out with the unit in June 1865; he was then appointed colonel of the 117th Regiment and traveled with the Black regiment to joined the occupation forces in Texas.
