Bound in dark blue half calf over marbled boards by Whitman Bennett unsigned, but laid in is an als from Bennett discussing the process, and apologising for being absent because his son, also a binder, had just enlisted; which places the binding job somewhere in the early to mid-1940's , titled and decorated in gilt to spine.
