Linwood, Texas: 1852-54 . Manuscript invoice, single sheet, 23 x 20 cm., docketed on verso. The invoice, dated Linwood, Cherokee Co., Texas, 7 March 1854, records the number of crossing made by Almanzon Huston with a four horse stage over the Angelina Turnpike between January 2, 1852 and February 25, 1854. These trips, a total of 604 over the two years, resulted in a bill of 420. Most of the trips were charged a the rate of 60 cents. Signed by Solomon Wolfe, and by Thomas Hart, gate keeper.
