Pen-and-ink on paper, signed “T. Stothard” , lower right, with a note in another hand, “outline from Springsgath 1820. 21”. 3 x 4 inches image size . Fine. Item #258755 Springsgath was one of the engravers for the 1796 Heptinstall edition of Pilgrim’s Progress with illustrations by Stothard and Corbould. This drawing may have been done for a later work.
