In 1864 James Thompson Randall bought a boarding house on the north end of Main Street in North Conway, NH. In 1902 the original structure burned down. It was rebuilt in time for the 1903 season by Henry Harrison Randall, James' son. The second Hotel Randall also succumbed to fire, prompting the construction of the current structure
