A hand-written translation transcribed, in an elegant script, done for John Fries Frazier, and presented to him Feb. 26, 1840 by the translator Dr. Henry Scholl. Frazier's bookplate is laid down on the front pastedown. Heinrich Zschokke 1771-1848 was a popular German-Swiss writer whose work was often translated into English
