Charles II (King of England, Scotland, and Ireland, 1630-85).- Proposals to put this kingdome into a good posture of defence against all invasion and with the Least Charge, manuscript, 1 pp. with conjugate blank, folds, slightly creased, folio, [England], [c. 1670]. *** Nine proposals to parliament for the defence of the kingdom, with plans for the maintenance of the militia, the sending of "a traine of artillary" into the west and the north of the country, a tax to raise money for the improved building of ships and other taxes to raise revenue. Found amongst the papers of Thomas Lord Clifford (1630-73), Charles II's Treasurer.
