Wells (H.G., novelist and social commentator, 1866-1946) Autograph Letter signed to "My dear Guyot", 1p., sm. 4to, Easton Glebe, Dunmow, Essex, n.d., [c. 1920], asking "Will this do?, referring to a manuscript he is sending and suggesting that if he has any difficulty in reading it he refers to Mrs Wells and with an autograph note at tail from Well's wife, Catherine suggests typing the manuscript "for the sake of clearness", folds. *** Letter to Edouard Guyot, who authored the acclaimed 1920 biography H.-G. Wells. Guyot, an English translated several works by Wells into French, most notably L'Esquisse de l'Histoire Universelle (The Outline of History) in the 1920s.
