The Works. The first British collected edition, number 640 of 780 sets, signed by the author in the first volume. Each of the initial 18 volumes contains a reflective introduction by Conrad to the work it precedes. This set includes the additional final two volumes, published after 1921.The final pair comprises The Rover, first serialized in the Pictorial Review in 1923, and Suspense, Conrad's unfinished novel, published posthumously in 1925, with an introduction by his friend and critic Richard Curle (1883–1968).
