Pale cream cotton bookmarker c.1880s-1890s printed in black on one side: For Mayor, head and shoulder portrait Chas. S. Ashley. reverse side blank. Length 14.9 cm. including top edge which may have originally been turned over as a hem . Width 7 cm. This may have started life as an election favour, or badge, as the top edge bears pin marks.
