A very-well preserved example of this popular illustrated Victorian family Bible, with many colour and black white plates depicting scenes from the Old and New Testaments. The family register at the beginning is unused, and the original metal clasps are in full working order. Large 4to (33.5 x 26 cm); additional illuminated title, unused family register, numerous colour and black white plates, occasional minor spotting; black morocco, fielded relief in gilt to upper panel, spine lettered in gilt, embossed brass corner-pieces and clasps, all edges gilt, a few marks, otherwise near fine.
