The Works. Author's National edition, each volume printing the following statement by Twain: "This is the authorized uniform edition of all my books. Mark Twain". This was one of the last major publishing projects Twain approved before his death in 1910. The set includes portraits of Twain from paintings and photographs taken when he was in the process of writing these works.Additionally, there are illustrations by famous American and international artists, such as Dan Beard, E. W. Kemble, and Thure de Thulstrup.
