Signed by Beatrix Potter on the half-title page and dated "Feb. 6. 43", Potter died in December of that year. Bound in publisher's original paper-covered boards lettered in brown with illustrated onlay to upper board. Very Good with spotting to to covers heaviest at rear, toning to the spine. Though this was the last book in Potter's Peter Rabbit series, it was among the first to be written.
