$40 · Offered by Biblio

First edition · In dust jacket

New York: Doubleday & Company, 1979. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Very good copy in DJ, with some edge tears along the bottom. Stamped "From the Library of Truman Capote". From the library of Truman Capote (auctioned off in parts in New York at Bonhams on November 9, 2006). Following Capote's death in 1984, many of Capote's belongings, including his library, were passed on to his dear friend Joanne Carson (wife of Johnny Carson). She became "the loving custodian of these treasures" for several decades until they were dispersed by Bonham's. A nice opportunity to acquire a book from the library of one of America's most colorful and controversial authors.
