Compliments of the publisher blind-stamp to title page. Original mid cloth blocked in gilt. Contents clean, neat inscription and owner name in ink, covers are rather fresh. A near fine copy of a rare book (only one copy noted in book auction records, sold in 1929). Biography of the pioneering Swiss occultist, alchemist and philosopher. Ian Fleming was a keen student of Paracelsus, translating Carl Jung's essay on him while perfecting his German at Munich University. This copy is from the comprehensive archive assembled by Ian Fleming bibliographer Jon Gilbert, with pencil ownership. Gilbert pp.654, 657.
