Street (1884-1964) also wrote detective novels under the names John Street, Miles Burton, and Cecil Waye and books on the Royal Artillery under the pseudonym F.O.O. He was a member of the Detection Club, a 1930s literary group also including Agatha Christie and Dorothy L. Sayers. Octavo. Original red cloth, spine lettered in black. With dust jacket. Ownership stamp of one Hugh McCormick to front pastedown. Extremities rubbed and a little bumped, spine gently toned, covers a little marked; jacket price-clipped, reinforced with brown paper, spine toned, rear panel browned: a very good copy in like jacket.
