Street (1884-1964) also wrote detective novels under the names John Street, Miles Burton, and Cecil Waye and books on the Royal Artillery under the pseudonym F.O.O. He was a member of the Detection Club, a 1930s literary group also including Agatha Christie and Dorothy L. Sayers. Octavo. Original red cloth, spine lettered in black. With dust jacket. Extremities rubbed and a little bumped, spine gently toned, covers a little marked; jacket price-clipped, reinforced with brown paper, spine toned, rear panel browned: a very good copy in like jacket.
