Very Good/Very Good. 147pp. Octavo [20 cm] Olive green pictorial cloth over boards. Illustrated endpapers. Covers mildly cocked. Foxing to the text block edges and periodic pronounced foxing to the pages. Brief contemporary owner's inscription at head of half title. In the dust jacket, with areas of subtle darkening, and sporadic shallow chips and a short closed tear to the edges. Despite the aforementioned flaws, the jacket is quite attractive. Frontispiece not mounted on dark green paper. Twelve color plates with captioned tissue guards. Arthur Rackham (1867-1939) was one of the leading figures of the Golden Age of British book illustration. His illustrations for "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" in 1907 revolutionized book art and the publishing business.
