Engraved second title, frontispiece and 41 plates, the plates in their early states without captions and with Phiz's replacements for the two suppressed Buss plates. Some foxing and browning to the plates throughout, particularly to the frontispiece and title. Original cloth, rebacked retaining most of the original backstrip. Smith I 3. A fairly early issue with most of the points noted by Smith present.
